did quite a number of 'aussie' things today to celebrate australia day =P
- got woken up by the bright sunshine just outside my window this morning
- hummed 'waltzing matilda'
- cheered on molik as she played against davenport (as well as getting annoyed with the umpire grrr)
- mowed the lawn and killed weeds!
- used 'mate' to address someone
- ate sausage
- drank Solo to quench thirst (silly idea i know!)
- wore a yellow t-shirt with the friendly 'say hello to you' covering my heart
anyways had a good chat with my brother today in the garden, about appearances. Seeing me dressed in baggy trousers and shirt, he asked me whether i cared about my appearances, cos apparently the 'stereotypical' girls would hide in the shade and keep their hands clean and tidy, as opposed to dancing around with a heavy lawn mower. hmm it got me thinking though, cause it's true that some people base their attraction on good looks.
but then what happens when they age? pimples, wrinkles, aches, deformities in bones etc etc etc pop out everywhere. "beauty lies skin deep". are you willing to hug and kiss someone who's just mowed the lawn for like an hour under the hot sun? or someone who's gained heaps and heaps of weight? or been burnt out-of-shape of something by fire? i admire 'true attraction'. love is beautiful
argh sorry me tired can't think
just wondering though, how many calories can someone burn from mowing the lawn?
