hehe someone actually visited Cumbo!

A sengie friend visited Cumbo this afternoon hehe wonder whot he really thought of it! He was very nice about it, but i reckon deep down inside he thought cumbo is a major hole (hehe which is what i think too but i happen to like this hole cos of the ppl in it!) His final comment: "though the tour took much longer, the meat of it was only 10 minutes". It says something doesnt it?

This year im spending much more time at usyd main campus than cumbo (a reversal of last year) which has been unexpectedly good! At the beginning of this semester i kinda dreaded this reversal cos it meant i wouldnt be able to spend much time with cumbo friends and ecu. But this past month, ive got to know main campus friends more, as well as ppl doing my own course which has been great! EU has been good too, though i can only go alternate weeks cos of practicals. So tempted to skip the 1hr stats lecture every second tues but there's eu afterwards. Still feeling rather 'scattered' though, so many beautiful ppl to get to know, yet so little time and chance to really get to know the people they truly are! These past 2 months in particular, ive really come to appreciate all the more God's family....such an amazing blessing =)

Some people have been asking me why i keep working at ACE (tutoring centre) even though the pay aint that great for the work expected and stuff. To be honest, there could be better jobs, esp ones that actually relate to what im studying at uni atm! But the longer ive been working there, the more ive come to love the ppl - staff and students. Watching the students grow is truly amazing (during the hols i took around 9 each week but now the manager's given all cept 2 away =( my fault though cos i cant work much during the semester) The centre is run by a Christian couple, and over the past year they've given me such support and guidance that ive come to look up to them as 'advisors'. Getting to know the staff has been really good...much more interaction these days than there was a year ago =) Getting to know a few of them on a deeper level has been awesome. Personally, it's like as though God's brought His family to me when im not able to go out to meet with them...and im so grateful that He has provided this blessing amongst others!! So yeah...i know the pay isnt good, i know it's not related to what im studying, i know it's not in epping or eastwood, i know it's not a laidback job...but i love working there, not for the money and all, but for the people and what the centre essentially is and upholds =)
